Hey Trudeau and Horgan: NO TMX & CGL PIPELINES!
Drop All Charges Against All Land Defenders!
People and Planet Before Pipelines and Profit!

LIGHT SIGN DISPLAY + BANNER ACTION
FRIDAY, JANUARY 28
4pm

Broadway and Cambie
Vancouver

As the climate catastrophe escalates – both the federal Liberal government and the NDP government of BC continue to support the reckless construction of the Trans Mountain Expansion (TMX) and Coastal GasLink (CGL) pipelines. Although Prime Minister Trudeau and Premier Horgan give lip service to environmental concerns and Indigenous rights – they blatantly disregard both.

This disregard for people and the planet is also clear in the criminalization and continuous harassment of peaceful protesters and land defenders. In just the past two weeks members of “Secwepemc Say No TMX” and the Tiny House Warriors were in court facing unjust charges for peacefully protesting TMX pipeline construction around Kamloops. Protestors arrested in Vancouver for allegedly violating the Trans Mountain injunction in the Lower Mainland are in court facing up to 60 days in jail. Meanwhile, Wet’suwet’en land defenders standing against the CGL fracked-gas pipeline continue to stand strong despite constant RCMP harassment – and the 27 land defenders brutally arrested in Wet’suwet’en in November 2021 continue to face charges.

Join Climate Convergence for a Light Sign Display and Banner Action demanding “STOP TMX & CGL PIPELINES!” We must support those standing up for Indigenous rights, human rights and for the health of the planet, and demand that all chargers against land defenders be dropped immediately!

Bring your friends. Bring a mask. Wear warm clothes!
