In September, more than 7 MILLION people worldwide mobilized to demand climate action as part of the Global Climate Strike. That included over 900,000 people across Canada and almost 200,000 in Vancouver, making it the biggest march ever in our city. But that was only the beginning!
No matter what happens during the election, we will not stop taking to the streets! Join us and Greta Thunberg on October 25th, 11am – 2pm PT, at the Vancouver Art Gallery for our next climate strike!

ACCESSIBILITY:
-The march itself will be approximately 3km through the streets of downtown, starting at the Vancouver Art Gallery
-We hope to have ASL interpreters present, this will be confirmed later this week. Please contact us with specific needs!
-The strike will be a scent-reduced environment; refrain from wearing scented products the day before and during the event. -This includes perfumes, lotions, hair products, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, etc.
-Washrooms are accessible at the Art Gallery as well as in Pacific Centre.

The strike will also feature an exciting announcement about a key next step in the Canadian youth climate movement.
More than a dozen Canadian youth from across Canada will file a lawsuit against the Canadian government for actively and knowingly contributing to climate change, and not protecting their Charter and public trust rights from the harms they are experiencing due to the climate crisis. Supported by the David Suzuki Foundation, Arvay Finlay LLP and the Pacific Centre for Environmental Law and Litigation, and with technical expertise from Our Children’s Trust, the lawsuit is the latest in a series of legal actions filed by youth against their governments across the planet, and is the first federal youth climate litigation in Canadian history, marking a major milestone in Canada’s youth climate movement.
